Vacancy: Full-Time Imamat and teaching in Corby, Northamptonshire
(Eligible husband/ wife couple will be prioritised)
Start Date – ASAP
We are currently seeking a dedicated and qualified full-time Imam to serve our growing community. This is a key role for someone who is passionate about Islamic leadership and community engagement.
Role Includes:
• Leading the five daily prayers
• Delivering the Friday Khutbah and speech
• Teaching children Maktab. Monday to Friday 5-7pm. The couple will be responsible for the running of the classes and activities.
• Engaging with both youth and the elderly and reverts
• Supporting community events and Islamic programmes
• Leading Nikah ceremonies and funeral prayers (Janazah)
• Arranging Taraweeh in Ramadan and leading Eid prayers
Qualifications Required:
• Must be an Alim (graduate from a reputable Islamic institute)
• Preferably a Hafidh of Qur’an
• Fluent in English, Uk born.
• Good character, communication skills, and ability to relate to all age groups
Working days: 6 days a week
Salary: Imam £25000 gross per annum. (This, as well as wifes salary is negotiable depending on experience and qualifications)
