Requirements
- Marketing & Fundraising Associate Position Type: Full-Time, On-Site Organization Type: K–12 Reports To: Head of School and Board Fundraising Committee
- Familiarity with social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.) and how to strategically target the related demographics for each.
- Enthusiastic, organized, and eager to contribute to a collaborative team environment.
- Assist in developing and executing fundraising campaigns, including annual giving, Ramadan/Eid campaigns, scholarship funds, GivingTuesday, and other special events.
- Plan, organize, and execute signature fundraising events such as annual/semi-annual banquets.
- Create and schedule engaging social media content to promote school activities, fundraising goals, and community engagement.
- Maintain donor records and mailing lists using the school CRM or fundraising software.
- Draft and design monthly e-newsletters and donor communications (thank-you notes, campaign updates, impact stories)
- Collaborate with faculty and staff to capture stories, photos, and updates from classrooms and school events.
- Support the planning and promotion of alumni and parent engagement events.
- Monitor and analyze digital campaign performance; recommend improvements for outreach and engagement.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with an option in Marketing, and/or Communications.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a keen eye for detail.
- At least 2 years of experience in marketing, fundraising, or communications (internships and volunteer experience welcome).
- Solid experience using graphic design applications, such as Adobe, Canva, or other relevant social media/graphic design platforms and email marketing tools (e.g., Mailchimp, Constant Contact or similar applications).
- Desired Qualifications: Self-Motivated & Proactive: Anticipates needs, takes initiative, and follows through independently. Mission-Driven: Belief in the transformative power of Islamic education and dedication to serving the Muslim community. Team Player: Collaborative, open to feedback, and able to work across departments. Growth Mindset: Embraces challenges, learns from feedback, and views setbacks as opportunities. Strong Work Style: Excellent time management and organizational skills to meet deadlines. Effective Communicator: Skilled in tailoring written and verbal communication for diverse audiences. - $65,000 - $75,000/year, commensurate with experience.
