Iqra School, a vibrant Islamic state-integrated school in Auckland, is looking for a passionate individual to join our Special Character team. We are seeking a candidate with the skills, expertise, and character fit to promote our unique values, focusing on the Arabic language, Qaaida, Quran, and Tajweed. Key Responsibilities: • Plan and deliver quality learning programs in Arabic, Qaaida, and Quran with a focus on Tajweed, with guidance and support as needed. • Actively support and promote the school’s positive culture as a proactive team member. • Participate in the school’s broader teaching and learning programs. • Engage in professional development opportunities as appropriate. • Serve as a positive role model for students, embodying the values of our school. • Demonstrate a growth mindset, with a willingness to learn and adapt new teaching methodologies. • Uphold and contribute to the Islamic special character of Iqra School. Additional Information: • Police Vetting: All applicants must pass a Police Vet check. We can process this on your behalf if you do not have a current Police Vet (issued within the last 6 months). • Skills Fit: Only applicants with relevant skills and expertise in the advertised areas will be considered.   Hours of Work: • 8:30 am – 3:00 pm, Tuesday – Friday (school term time). End of the day can be negotiable. Remuneration: • Pay will be based on the applicant’s skills and experience, aligned with the Support Staff in Schools’ Collective Agreement.
