About ICD:
The Islamic Center of Detroit (ICD) is one of the largest & most active Islamic Centers in the
Metro-Detroit area. It serves one of the largest Muslim communities in the US through diverse, creative,
inclusive and relevant programs and activities.
Full Time ICD Assistant Imam/Instructor
Responsibilities:
● Organize and conduct regular Quran halaqas/classes for different age groups throughout the year
● Deliver regular spiritual reminders (khawatir) for the community
● Support Masjid committees’ activities
● Cover the role of the Imam in his absence
● In coordination with the executive director, support the ICD annual fundraising events & Ramadan Program
Salary and Benefits:
The compensation package is very competitive and depends on qualifications and experience
Exprerience Details
● Bachelor degree in Islamic Studies or related field
● A minimum of 5 years experience in teaching Islamic Studies
● Follow the school of thought of Ahlul Sunnah Wal Jama'aa
● Fluency in English/Arabic
● Effective verbal and written communication skills.
● Three Tazkiya/Recommendations from reputable scholars
● Authorized to work in the US
