Position Summary

AL-AZHAR ISLAMIC ACADEMY (AIA) is seeking a reliable, responsible, and hardworking Custodian (Janitor) to join our school team in Fresno, California. The ideal candidate takes pride in maintaining a clean, safe, and well-organized school environment and understands the importance of cleanliness in supporting student learning, health, and safety.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of all school facilities, including classrooms, offices, hallways, cafeteria, and restrooms.
• Perform daily cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, trash removal, and sanitizing surfaces.
• Ensure restrooms are cleaned, stocked, and maintained throughout the day.
• Clean and disinfect high-touch areas regularly to support a healthy school environment.
• Assist with setup and cleanup for school events and activities.
• Report maintenance or safety issues promptly to administration.
• Follow school safety procedures and cleaning protocols.
• Perform periodic deep cleaning tasks as assigned.
• Maintain cleaning supplies and notify administration when restocking is needed.
