Job Duties: Organize and lead Islamic worship services for the organization’s female congregation; read texts from the Quran and deliver sermons to female congregation; administer Islamic religious rites for the female congregation; conduct special ceremonies such as religious weddings and funerals; plan and lead religious education programs, including Quran classes, for the organization’s female congregation; organize and engage in interfaith and community activities sponsored by religious programs; visit Muslims in homes, hospitals and prisons to provide them with comfort and support.
Exprerience Details
Requirements: Position requires Associate’s Degree, or foreign equivalent, in Islamic Studies. Position also requires at least 12 months of experience in the job offered or in the alternate occupation of Quran Instructor. The required experience must have been gained in organization that provides Islamic worship services and Quran classes.
