The Vacancy
We are seeking an exceptional Head of Programme Funding and Partnerships to lead a strategically important function within our International Programmes Division.
This is an exciting opportunity to drive institutional funding growth, strengthen global partnerships and support Islamic Relief Worldwide's country offices to deliver high-quality humanitarian and development programmes. The successful candidate will play a critical role in positioning Islamic Relief as a trusted partner within the international aid sector whilst contributing to the delivery of our global organisational strategy.
About the role:
As the Head of Programme Funding and Partnerships, you will provide strategic leadership to the Programme Funding & Partnerships Department, ensuring it delivers ambitious yet achievable objectives that support the wider goals of the International Programmes Division.
You will lead efforts to increase and diversify institutional funding, strengthen donor engagement, develop strategic partnerships and enhance the capacity of country offices to secure and effectively manage funding opportunities. The role will also provide high-level strategic advice and assurance to senior leadership on funding, partnerships, risk management and programme development and will lead a dynamic team and work closely with senior leadership, country offices, institutional donors and partners across our global network.
Representing Islamic Relief Worldwide externally, you will build and maintain relationships with institutional donors, networks, consortia and key stakeholders, ensuring that the organisation remains well-positioned within an evolving humanitarian and development landscape.

About you: You will be a strategic and collaborative leader with extensive experience in institutional funding, partnership development and organisational leadership within the humanitarian and development sector. You will be committed to Islamic Relief's mission and values, with the ability to build strong relationships, influence stakeholders at all levels and lead teams to achieve ambitious outcomes. You will ideally have:- Proven leadership in institutional funding and partnerships
- Demonstrated success securing high-value donor funding
- Strong understanding of humanitarian/development sector and donor landscape
- Experience in strategic planning and organisational leadership
- Strong financial, analytical and proposal development skills
- Experience working with and building capacity of country offices
