Position Purpose: 

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Islamic Studies Instructor to teach and mentor youth ages 12–18 during evening programs. The instructor will guide students in developing a strong understanding of Islamic beliefs, practices, and values while fostering personal growth, leadership, and confidence. This role requires the ability to connect with teenagers, create an engaging learning environment, and serve as a positive role model.

 

Responsibilities:

• Teach Islamic Studies curriculum appropriate for middle and high school youth, including Quran, Hadith, Fiqh, Seerah, and Islamic character development.

• Deliver lessons in an engaging, age-appropriate, and interactive manner.

• Foster a safe, inclusive, and respectful classroom environment.

• Support youth in applying Islamic principles to real-life situations (school, friendships, challenges).

• Incorporate discussions, group activities, and project-based learning to strengthen student participation.

• Assess student learning through quizzes, discussions, and reflection activities.

• Maintain communication with parents/guardians regarding student progress and behavior when needed.

• Serve as a mentor and role model, guiding students in leadership, responsibility, and spiritual growth.

• Attend periodic staff meetings, trainings, and professional development workshops.

• Support the mission, vision, and values of the institution in all interactions.
