Khatib & Alami, a Muslim-founded international engineering consultancy, is seeking a Lead ICT Data Center & Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join its Beirut, Lebanon office. This is a full-time, senior role responsible for designing and deploying advanced data center facilities and hybrid cloud environments for major infrastructure clients across the firm's portfolio in the Middle East and North Africa.Core Responsibilities
- Design and deploy Tier II through Tier IV data center facilities, including power systems, cooling infrastructure, structured cabling, and redundancy configurations
- Architect hybrid cloud solutions across Azure, AWS, and VMware platforms
- Develop containerization strategies using Docker and Kubernetes
- Prepare comprehensive technical documentation including specifications, architectural diagrams, and capacity planning assessments
- Manage installation and deployment activities for complex infrastructure projects
- Evaluate and assess vendors and emerging technologies
- Ensure all designs comply with industry standards including Uptime Institute tiers, TIA-942, ISO 27001, and NIST frameworks
Exprerience Details
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering
- Minimum 10 years of experience in data center design and cloud infrastructure roles
- Demonstrated expertise in hybrid cloud platforms and virtualization technologies
- Strong understanding of disaster recovery and business continuity design
- Fluency in both English and Arabic (spoken and written)
- Excellent interpersonal and client-facing communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Certifications: CDCP (Certified Data Center Professional), CDCS (Certified Data Center Specialist), Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect, or VMware credentials
