Zubeda Welcome is a Muslim community organisation providing support to vulnerable families in London and the surrounding area. This permanent, full-time Operations Manager position offers a hybrid working arrangement based in London, with 35 hours per week and a competitive salary of £32,000–£34,000 per annum (subject to ongoing funding). Role Overview The Operations Manager leads the coordination and day-to-day management of the organisation's operations and programmes. Working within a small, mission-driven team, you will take a hands-on, varied approach to ensuring the smooth running of all organisational activities. Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate programme delivery and oversee all operational activities across the organisation
  • Develop and implement robust policies, procedures, and operational frameworks
  • Manage departmental budgets and maintain financial accountability and reporting
  • Ensure regulatory compliance and support effective governance standards
  • Line-manage a small team, providing leadership and support
  • Engage with external stakeholders and partners to advance organisational goals
  • Coordinate volunteers and support team wellbeing
  • Contribute to fundraising initiatives and prepare grant reports as needed

Exprerience Details

Essential Requirements
  • Minimum three years' experience in operations or management
  • Full UK driving licence with access to a vehicle
  • Strong organisational skills and excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Proven leadership experience
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Willingness to work flexibly beyond standard hours
  • Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check
Desirable Qualifications
  • Relevant degree qualification (MBA particularly advantageous)
  • Knowledge of the UK charity sector
  • Fundraising or grant-writing experience
  • Experience in a startup or small charity environment
