Job Duties: Develop and direct the organization’s religious activities including Islamic worship services, Hifz and Quran classes, and sermons; counsel individuals regarding interpersonal, health and religious problems; plan, conduct and evaluate seminars and conferences dealing with the interpretation of Islamic values and principles; collaborate with the organization’s religious workers to establish goals and objectives for Islamic worship services, Hifz and Quran classes, and sermons; participate in denominational activities aimed at promoting interfaith understanding and providing aid to new or small congregations; plan fundraising activities for the mosque; identify and recruit potential volunteer workers.
Exprerience Details
Requirements: Position requires High School/GED diploma or foreign equivalent. Position also requires at least 24 months of experience in the job offered or in the alternate occupation of Imam, Assistant Imam/Muezzin or Quran Course Instructor. The required experience must have been gained in organization that provides Islamic worship services and Quran classes.
