About Us
Cur8 Capital is a Shariah-compliant investment manager focused on the mass-affluent audience. We offer access to real estate, income, private equity, and venture capital through a single, modern platform.
Cur8 Capital is a wholly owned subsidiary of IslamicFinanceGuru (IFG), one of the world’s leading Islamic fintech platforms. We are solving a global problem. Muslims are, on average, significantly underserved by the financial system, and we exist to change that. We are growing quickly, breaking AUM records quarter after quarter, and building long-term infrastructure to support that growth. You can learn more at https://cur8.capital.
Who We’re Looking For
We’re looking for a Senior Product Designer who combines strong UI and UX craft with systems thinking and a modern, AI-native approach to design work.
This is not a purely execution-focused role. The core responsibility is stewardship: owning and evolving our design system, reducing design and UI debt, and raising the quality and consistency of the product as it scales. You will be part of the design team, but much of your impact will come from supporting other teams by providing UI and UX expertise and by shipping production UI code as part of design system work.
AI has changed how design work is done. We expect you to actively use modern AI tools to accelerate exploration, iteration, prototyping, and collaboration with engineering, and to help the rest of the team do the same.
You don’t need prior Islamic finance experience, but experience in finance or investment products is a strong plus.
What You’ll Be Doing
Design System Ownership and Design Engineering
- Own, maintain, and evolve Cur8’s design system across web and mobile.
- Act as the steward of the system in Figma, ensuring consistency, clarity, and long-term maintainability.
- Do hands-on design engineering work to pay down UI and design debt and close gaps between design intent and production reality.
- Partner closely with frontend engineers to build and maintain reusable components, patterns, and tokens that are robust in production.
- Establish clear conventions for how the design system is used, extended, and modified by the wider team.
- Make the system practical, opinionated, and easy to use so teams move faster without sacrificing quality.
Product Design and UX Expertise
- Provide UI and UX expertise to product teams working on complex or high-impact flows.
- Design interfaces that simplify complex financial concepts and reduce cognitive load for users.
- Review and critique designs with a systems mindset, not just screen-by-screen polish.
- Support product managers and designers in shaping solutions that balance user needs, business goals, and technical constraints.
Figma and Tooling Excellence
- Lead best practices in Figma, including component architecture, variants, auto-layout, libraries, and tokens.
- Improve how the company uses Figma as a shared source of truth between design and engineering.
- Continuously refine workflows to reduce duplication, inconsistency, and manual work.
AI-Driven Ways of Working
- Use AI tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, and similar to accelerate prototyping, exploration, design system documentation, and collaboration with engineering.
- Experiment with AI-assisted workflows for prototyping, system evolution, and design-to-code alignment.
- Help establish new norms for how AI is used responsibly and effectively within the design team.
What We’re Looking For
Must-Have Qualifications
- 6+ years of experience in product design on complex, real-world products.
- Proven experience owning or significantly contributing to a design system used by multiple teams.
- Strong proficiency in Figma, including advanced component and library management.
- Excellent UI fundamentals: layout, hierarchy, typography, color, and interaction design.
- Clear understanding of how design systems translate into frontend implementation.
- Strong product judgment and the ability to simplify without losing necessary precision.
- Comfort working closely with engineers and engaging with implementation details.
- Hands-on experience using AI tools to improve speed, quality, or clarity of design work.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications
- Experience shipping UI in React and modern styling systems.
- Experience building or maintaining component libraries and design tokens in a production environment.
- Familiarity with design system tooling and workflows (Storybook or equivalents).
- Experience in fintech or investment products, or other high-trust domains where clarity and correctness matter.
- Experience working in a fast-growing product team where consistency and speed both matter.
Benefits
- Hybrid working, London-based.
- A learning-focused environment with a professional development budget.
- High ownership over foundational product infrastructure.
- The opportunity to shape a product that has real-world impact at scale.
