Knowledge and Skills: Good level of knowledge on Islamic Studies (Fiqh, Aqeedah & Seerah) and basic level of Arabic language Clear spoken (fluent) English language and literature skills Excellent communication skills Ability to use own initiative and organisational skills as and when required Qualifications and Experience: Qualifications in Islamic Studies, Education, or related field (bachelor’s degree preferred) Minimum 2 years of experience teaching Islamic Studies OR recent graduate from a recognized madrasa Personal Qualities: Passion to teach and participate in education reform Willing to always develop new skills and improve to maximise impact on children's education Ability to work in a professional learning community and respect all colleagues and students Adhere to processes and policies that support the academy Additional Requirements: Ability to relate Islamic teachings to contemporary issues Ability to work with students from diverse backgrounds Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Islamic Studies or related field Experience in curriculum development Certification in Islamic education or teaching

Must be a native Arabic speaker, fluent in both Modern Standard Arabic and classical Arabic OR hold a degree in Arabic language - Experience teaching Arabic to non-native speakers. - A strong understanding of Islamic values and principles. Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and has relevant experience teaching RE at KS3 and KS4. A strong understanding of the RE curriculum and the ability to inspire students of all abilities. Excellent classroom management skills and a commitment to creating a positive and inclusive learning environment. A passion for promoting critical thinking, tolerance, and respect for different cultures and religions. A proactive and flexible approach to teaching, with a desire to contribute to the school's success.
